David Beltramo Medals in the Western Regional Cross Country Championship
Mount San Antonia College in Walnut, California played host today to the Western Regional Cross Country Championships. Here, the very best high school runners from across the western U.S. competed in various classes to bring home medals and, for some, to advance to the Nationals in San Diego.
Our Nephew, David Beltramo from Portland (on Cathy's side of the family), proved once again his star talent by placing 5th among a field that appeared to number over sixty.
Here's how the race played out on Mt. Sac's up and down course. (To see larger version of these photos simply click on them, which will take to Flikr.com, and from there you can select any size you wish).

In the Stadium - last lap.
Across the Finish Line. In a burst of energy, David over took the man in the white jersey less than 10 yards from the finish line to secure 5th.
Medal Honors.
A Stand of Winners. The top ten all took medals.
"David Beltramo, Portland Oregon...and I'd like to take this opportunity to announce my candidacy for President of the United States...." just kidding ;-)
Coach, and the A Team from Portland.
